The term inflammaging is a contraction of "inflammation" and "aging". It therefore refers to age-related inflammation of the skin. The ENEOMEY experts tell you more about this phenomenon.
Our skin is constantly exposed to factors:
- internal (also known as intrinsic), such as age,- external (also known as extrinsic), such as pollution.
These factors affect the quality and appearance of our skin throughout our lives.
Internal and external factors promote the formation of free radicals in cells and activate the immune system. This leads to the transcription of inflammation genes and the production of cytokines, chemokines and MMPs. Your skin then enters a vicious circle, with chronic micro-inflammation of its cells.

The consequence of cell inflammation is premature skin aging: the visible effects of age on the skin appear earlier than the natural aging process, and multiply as your skin's defense capabilities diminish.
